Testimonials
“As an adoptive parent, dealing daily with the impact of trauma and the attachment needs of my children, I could not be more grateful that I had the opportunity to work with Sarah.”
“Thank you Sarah for your unwavering help and support with my 16 year old son last year. He was going through such an emotionally challenging time, was often frustrated and angry, and you seemed to intuitively know how to help. Thankfully, he has turned things around now and everything is much more positive but it was a relief knowing you were there for us!”
“I took over some of Sarah’s schools, which included a large academy and its feeder primary schools in a deprived area, where the work was often complex and involved working with children and their families alongside a broad range of multi-agency professionals. From both the reports of staff in schools and the cases I continued with, it was evident that Sarah managed complex cases with integrity and professionalism. Her comprehensive reports were appreciated by the SENDCos, Head Teachers and other contributing professionals and Sarah was highly respected.”
“Multi-Agency Panel (MAP) meetings took place 3 times a year across 3 years at (secondary) school and provided a panel of professionals…(including Sarah and I) to offer support and practical guidance to staff in school around individual cases. Sarah often managed the time slots and helped to organise the meetings so that the school could get the most out of the panel. Sarah worked in the school more regularly and her knowledge of the staff and systems in the school was always helpful. She regularly offered additional support and was able to ‘think on her feet’ in order to develop action plans for very troubled individuals…she always worked with integrity and in the best interests of the child.”

“I had the pleasure of working with Sarah for around half a decade while she was part of the Local Authority (LA) Educational Psychology Service and I was Professional Lead for the LA Schools Autism Team with responsibility for a caseload of around 1500 CYP aged between 3 and 19. Sarah and I shared several cases in both the primary and secondary sectors and on one occasion we were involved in preparation for and attendance at a complex tribunal. I developed a high regard for Sarah and her professionalism at this time as she sought to support all parties, especially the school and the family, to manage a very complex, distressing and emotionally charged time.
Sarah has a particular set of skills, experiences and indeed intuition around the co-morbidity of pupil presentation particularly in the area of ASD, ADHD and attachment. Over a period of time, services were being increasingly challenged by school placement breakdown where complex presenting CYPs with significant social communication needs were the core concern. Even if she was not directly involved, I was often inclined to seek out and elicit Sarah’s professional advice and guidance as I trusted this would offer an exemplar of practice that would support my own and my team’s wider endeavours to ensure the response we were offering a young person was informed, nuanced and appropriate.”

“In the 3 years that we taught together, Sarah was a confident and inspirational colleague who stood out as an exemplary teacher within a school of strong, capable staff. She embraced working in a school with over 50 different nationalities and was always culturally sensitive and measured. Sarah navigated her way through the considerable demands and high expectations of parents and the school with a high level of integrity and respect for the views of others.
The children in Sarah’s classes were happy and flourished with the creativity and passion that she brought to her teaching. Her structured, well organised approach and her ability to build positive self-esteem and set achievable goals enabled children in her classes to thrive. Sarah’s positivity was admired as was her willingness to share her ideas and skills with colleagues. Throughout the years that I have known Sarah, she has continued to show enthusiasm, professionalism and dedication to her work.”
